Discussing Your Project
The best way for me to help you reach your goals is for me to get to know you and your project better, so I’ll have you fill out an easy and short Project Discovery Questionnaire. It shouldn’t take you more than 5 minutes out of your day.
After I receive and review the questionnaire, I’ll contact you to schedule a 20-minute Project Launch call.
Investment and Getting Started
On all projects, an initial deposit of 50% is required and once received, the project will commence and will be delivered on the agreed upon date. Payments can be made by credit card, check, wire-transfer or PayPal. The details of payment will be made in the Project Agreement that I send to all my clients.
For me to get started on time; to make the best use of my time and to deliver the best possible project, I do require having all of the materials I need to research my product before the project is to start. This includes CDs, DVDs, videos, webinars, books, PDF’s, brochures, whitepapers, etc. Exceptions will be made if the cost is prohibitive or logistically not reasonable (such as attending a live seminar).
I read all books and other materials that will be the subject of my copywriting, and I listen and watch all CDs and DVDs to completion, so this may require many, many hours of research. Please keep that in mind when budgeting (in both time and money) your project.
My research of your target market consists of going to user forums, blogs, reviews sites (i.e. Good Reads, Amazon, Yelp, etc.), my local library and using materials that are provided by the client.
All in all, the diligent research that I’ll conduct will make for a superior product that furthers your financial goals. Your help with these materials is greatly appreciated.
Communication is key to any project, and it’s especially important when you’re dealing with a freelancer. This is why I like to establish these guidelines ahead of time.
My normal working hours are 8:30 am – 6:00 pm Monday through Friday. My abnormal working hours are early morning and weekends.
I answer most e-mails M-F 7:00 am – 7:00 pm. Phone calls are taken during normal working hours.
You’ll get the best out of me during the early morning hours. You’ll get a slightly less good version of me later in the day, and you’ll get a worse version of me at midnight.

Review of First Drafts
First drafts are usually delivered within 10 -14 business days. All first drafts are completed to fullness, so all effort should be made to review them carefully.
All revisions will be considered and are usually turned around within 2 – 4 business days of receiving the revision request. The number of revisions included in the project quote will depend on the project and the scope of the project. Please contact me for further questions on this matter.
After we conclude that all the revisions meet with your total satisfaction, I’ll have you give me a written statement by e-mail stating that you’re approving the Final Draft and the project is now complete. At this point, I’ll invoice you for the remainder of the job quote (usually the remaining 50%).
After my written work is done, it would help the project if I see the final format (i.e. landing page, brochure, letter, etc.), so I can give you one final review to see if everything is as intended.
