Are You Looking For a Full-Time
Direct Response Copywriter?
If you are looking for a Full-Time Direct Response Copywriter…
Please read this important message.
I’ve put together a quick summary and outline of what I am looking for, so we don’t waste each other’s time. I’ve had to turn down a lot of job offers because my resume doesn’t have room to fully explain what I am looking for.
This page will do just that.
Please read on if you are looking for a direct response copywriter who can write lead-gen and sales emails, sales pages, registration pages, and other written sales and direct response materials.
I’ve been getting a lot of offers for enticing copywriting opportunities. I get about two to three every week. Sometimes two or three in a day. And I am NOT even looking. Many of these opportunities sound pretty good, but others not so much.
I currently work at a very good company that pays me well, gives me plenty of time off, and has great benefits such as health coverage, year-end bonuses, gym membership, holiday surprises, appreciation bonuses, etc. It would be very hard to tear me away.
However, there are times that my company just doesn’t understand the kind of work that I do. I write sales copy. That’s it. I don’t write blog content or “getting your name before the people” advertising slogans or anything like that.
It’s during these times that you will get my attention and when I am ready to make a move.
However, I won’t move just to move. There needs to be more—a lot more!
Here’s exactly what I am looking for:
Salary: Over $97,000 (Is that marketing or what?)
Benefits: Full health coverage.
Time Off: 3 weeks first year. I have 3 weeks at my current position, so anything less would be taking a step backward.
Full Time Only: NO contracts, NO contract-to-hire, NO freelance, etc. Full W-2 only. I work a maximum of 8 hours a day. Preferably 5 hours. You are paying for the results, NOT The hours I put in. Overtime only during extreme emergencies. More than a few times is too many.
Start Time: I work from 9 am – 5 pm. I won’t be available before nine. I’m not lazy. I wake up at 5:00 nearly every morning. I just have plenty of things to do before nine, such as the gym, meditation, writing out controls, eating breakfast, watching Dan Kennedy, etc.
Remote Work Only: I don’t plan on ever working in an office again. So, I won’t consider any job that is “remote until Covid is over.” In fact, I won’t even consider you if your main office is within eight hours of where I am. I don’t want there to be a remote chance (pun massively intended) that you want me to “just drop by the office.” That won’t happen. The positions I am most likely to consider are ones that are based on the West Coast, so there is NO chance of me “just dropping by.”
Sales Copy Only. No content/blogs. No social media posts. Nothing other than sales copy. This can be in the form of online sales pages, lead-gen, emails, print, and things of that nature.
Direct Response Marketing: YOU have a clear understanding of what Direct Response Marketing is. YOU have read books by Claude Hopkins, John Caples, Victor O. Schwab, and Dan Kennedy. YOU are steeped in Dan Kennedy.
Why?
Because I have read those books. This is the kind of direct response copywriting I do. This is the ONLY kind of copy I write. I don’t write blogs, articles, blurbs, etc.
Industries. This will be on a case-by-case basis. I would have never dreamed of working in the industry I am working in; however, I find it somewhat satisfying. With that said, my preference is in the education and training industries. If that’s you, let’s talk.
Results. I prefer to work with a business where you have results that can be measured, and they are important to you. Well, duh… it’s direct response copywriting! Sorry, but sometimes I need to explain that to people.
Computer. This is negotiable. However, if you supply me with a computer, that would be great. This way, all the stuff I produce will be on YOUR computer, not mine. See? Win-win!
What you will get from me
Someone who has a firm grasp of Direct Response Copy and Direct Response Marketing principles. I still have a lot to learn. However, I am confident I KNOW a lot more than many “marketers” who thin they are direct response marketers but are not. They are wasting the company’s money by being all “brandy.” You are a direct response marketer if you understand what I just said.
Bring in Sales: You will get someone who can bring in sales. Since I have worked at my company, we have increased our monthly sales from less than $250,000 to nearly $1,000,000 a month.
This may NOT be the numbers you see by some YouTube gurus. However, one undeniable fact is that the company I work for has grown from less than 200 people to over 400 people since I started more than a year ago.
I have suggested, advised, and implemented many strategies to increase our webinar registrations and sales.
Someone who can take complex concepts and simplify them for the maximum audience reach.

My Rule #1 is “Don’t Waste Money”
If you would like to talk, then I can be reached at:

Ash Waechter
BTW: the name is pronounced Weckter. (Look, I didn’t come up with that name. Someone else did a long, long time ago. It means the “The Watcher,” the sentinel or guardian. That’s me!)
I don’t return texts, so please call instead. I don’t usually answer my phone, so please leave a message. If I don’t understand you, don’t expect a callback. Unfortunately, I get too many calls that are a big miss. Thank you for your understanding.
Thank you for making it all the way down here.
Ash
P.S. I don’t have samples from the past few years on my website. If you would like to see more samples, please contact me.
P.P.S. I will NOT write unpaid custom samples for you. If you want a custom sample from me, you will have to pay for it. And even then, I might NOT be able to provide one because of time restrictions from my current job. The best thing to do is to have faith that you will know if my current copy/samples work for your business.
TLDR: I am open to a Direct Response Copywriting job, but I am currently working at a great company with great pay and benefits, so your offer must be pretty good. Read above for details. Thank you!
